The Donut Dash was born on a crisp morning as four friends pounded the pavement, sharing their Thanksgiving plans. After a year of pandemic lockdowns, they realized that this Thanksgiving, nearly everyone they knew would be back in town—and that was reason enough to make it memorable. With a shared goal of getting in a fun workout (and knowing their kids would balk at the idea of a traditional 5k), they dreamed up a race that would get everyone excited: a run with a sweet twist! The Donut Dash promised all the fun of a run, minus the fuss, and with the tasty reward of donuts at the finish line. Now, Thanksgiving morning in the neighborhood isn’t just about turkey and parades; it’s about dashing, laughing, and, of course, devouring delicious donuts together.
